art + film + vienna

art+film+vienna is an emerging experimental film festival and curatorial platform in Vienna dedicated to advancing contemporary moving‑image culture. Co‑founded by Sebastian Jobst and Anna Resch, the initiative focuses on innovative, artist‑driven film practices that explore the boundaries between cinema, video art, and interdisciplinary artistic production. Through curated screenings, discursive formats, and collaborations with international artists, the festival aims to redefine how experimental film is presented, contextualized, and experienced in Vienna.

The artistic vision of art+film+vienna centers on expanding the language of film by showcasing works that challenge traditional storytelling, embrace hybrid and essayistic forms, and experiment with sound, performance, and installation. By foregrounding new voices and critical perspectives, the platform contributes to Vienna’s dynamic cultural landscape and supports the development of contemporary audiovisual art.
